The method for producing a strengthened platinum material includes oxidizing a platinum alloy powder obtained by melt-spray, wet-milling the platinum alloy powder by adding an organic solvent, sintering, and forging, wherein the wet-milled platinum alloy fine powder is charged into a heat resistant container and heated to 1,200 to 1,400° C. in a vacuum atmosphere to be subjected to degassing.
