A method and system to generate chart models are disclosed. Graphs may be rendered more efficiently by utilizing chart models, where multiple chart models are be generated utilizing the same set of chart data. Each chart model may be utilized to render a corresponding chart. In order to generate a chart model, a set of data may be totally disassembled first and then reassembled in an appropriate manner (e.g., according to a desired chart description).
