  1. An optical plug-in connection for connecting polarization-maintaining optical fibers includes at least two plug-in connectors and a coupler into which the plug-in connectors are plugged from opposite ends. The optical fiber to be connected is fixed to the fiber end of a ferrule in each of the plug-in connectors. The coupler is provided with a guiding device into which the ferrules enter from opposite ends when the plug-in connectors are plugged into the coupler. Also provided are means for positioning the ferrules at an angle from each other. The ferrules can be positioned in relation to each other in a much more precise manner by means of such an optical plug-in connection by configuring the positioning means in such a way that the ferrules are placed at an angle that is relative to the guiding device when the plug-in connectors are plugged into the coupler.
