A system is disclosed to switch over redundant Ethernet transmission lines using link status control, as decreasing software intervention required for the transmission and reception of control frames, etc. The system includes Ethernet transmission lines having redundant configuration, first and second transmission equipment being connected through the Ethernet transmission lines.
