The second portion performs substantially less light filtration than the first portion or performs no light filtration. A distinct separation zone can be located between the first portion and the second portion. An apparatus for light filtration having an associated viewing area is disclosed. The apparatus includes a support structure, and a lens coupled to the support structure for performing light filtration. A portion of the lens is cut-out to allow for a portion of the viewing area to receive no light filtration. A method of making the same is disclosed.
