Methods for prophylactic and anti-transmissivity uses of an anti-microbial composition are disclosed. The methods comprise the step of administering to a mammal or a bird, an amount of a composition having a first ingredient obtainable from ginger; a second ingredient obtainable from green tea; an optional third ingredient obtainable from turmeric; and an acceptable carrier.
