An appliance for cleansing a surface area of the skin including a separately applicable cleansing appliance adapted to fit tightly against the surface of the body and being provided with an inlet for injection of liquid and an outlet. The appliance includes two walls of flexible material, with the rear wall having an opening suitable for surrounding the surface area of the skin to be cleansed.
