In an apparatus and a method for translating a GT (global title) in a No.7 signaling network, the apparatus includes a general GTT module performing a general GTT function of a specific signaling point, a pre-fetch GTT module distributing the general GTT function to another signaling point before the general GTT function is performed, and a post-fetch GTT module providing the general GTT function to the another signaling point when the general GTT function has failed.
