A cutting line for brush-cutting, edge-trimming and similar has a generally circular cross-section and, on its periphery, has a plurality of notches spaced apart by a distance of between 12 and 19 mm approximately and aligned along at least one direction parallel to an axis of the line, the length of the notches, measured along the line, being substantially shorter than the spacing distance.
