  1. An assembly for supporting a sign and adapted to engage a pole includes a pair of mounting plates disposed contiguously with a pole. Each mounting plate comprises a second aperture through which a band is inserted to connect each mounting plate to the pole. A crossmember is fed through a first aperture to support a sign or banner.
