The present invention includes generating a list of Intellectual Capital Codes based upon a standardized skills catalog which contains a set of skill categories organized in a hierarchical manner with a unique code assigned to each category within each hierarchical level, wherein the combination of at least one code from at least one of the hierarchical levels forms an Intellectual Capital code.
