A portable, collapsible, stable bookstand (10) to retain reading or study materials in a reclined position is described. The bookstand (10) is formed from a rotational hollow cylindrical shape (11) adjoining two book supporting arms (12) and a rear supporting arm (13). The rotational hollow cylindrical shape allows for the center supporting arm (13) to rotate outwardly from the two outside supporting arms (12) to place the bookstand (10) in an open position.
