This term is used by the AVVR or American Association of Veterinary Radiologists to denote a sonographer who is registered with the AAVR, a current member of the AAVR who is in good standing with the AAVR and has successfully completed an AAVR approved veterinary sonographer training, passed the veterinary sonographer qualifying examination administered by the American Association of Veterinary Radiologists and retains a constant professional relationship with a board certified veterinary radiologist or board certified veterinary cardiologist.;
