The mark consists of a rectangle with a medium blue background. Towards the upper right corner the word imec is written in a lighter shade of blue. To the left of the word imec a swirl design is present which is also in a lighter shade of blue. Two short strokes of the lighter shade of blue extend from the bottom right corner toward the center of the rectangle. From the left lower corner of the rectangle extending toward the center are a series of circles with strokes in light blue extending from one to the other. Each circle has gold centers, a small band of medium blue around the gold circle and then a larger band of the light blue.
